Ear piercing on a male

Well I have been considering getting an ear piercing. Possibly two in my left ear.
So what does everyone think of earrings on guys, and is there any specific configuration of number and side that people like or prefer?

Everybody has differing opinions on this. Unless you're wanting to match up with a friend who's already pierced, it's up to you to decide on what your ear is going to look like. My ear is pierced and I have a white gold hoop that's 1cm in diameter, because that's what I wanted. Some people like it, others don't.

I think it is cool - just depends how you want to be and look - best thing is to see what is available to buy - maybe take a good friend with you for advice and feed back -

I got my left ear pierced twice. I got my lobe, and upper cartilage. The upper cartilage hurt quite a bit, andi couldnt sleep on that side for a few weeks, and it says its supposed to take a year to heal, but mines only taken about 5 months or so. I love how guys look with piercings. Certain ones tho. I hate gauges. Idk how a giant hole in your ear is even intriguing. anyway, i say go for it. As long as it makes you happy.

i am planning on getting a 4 or 5 mm gauge on my right ear once i turn 18 or if my parents agree to get it this year for my 16th b-day.

I don't know shit about piercing/earrings, but I don't mind them as long as it's not too crazy. I'd probably get my ear pierced one day.

I think nothing different of piercings on any gender. Let people do what they wish with their own bodies, yeah? If you think it looks good and it's something you want to do, please, by all means, do it. I've never thought it strange to see guys with piercings.

It is just mostly in my area, it is rare to see males with ear piercings. But I think I'll see if I can can get it done anyway.

Yes! I need to see more men with piercings. My dad has I think his left ear pierced. But he grew up in the 80s, so it's a bit more common with that generation. He doesn't only wear rings or whatever too, he loves wearing a nice agate-green crystal stud.

A good portion of my exes had pierced ears. When I was attracted to men, I found it very attractive but that's me.

My motto is even but asymetrical. I'm currently uneven but that's because if I pierced my left ear now I would have to sleep on my back. So like if you get a conch, get a helix on the other or whatever. One industrial and the other a rook. Any combination. Obviously, that's if you get multiple different piercings versus just lobe.

I think they can look nice on some guys but I prefer no earrings on most. Up to you though, they're you're ears. :)

Too much. Too much. How about a quarter of the size. That much grosses me out. I mean, do what you want, but personally I think if you can fit more than one finger through it's too big. But yeah, I mean people can do whatever. Just don't make me look at it.

I agree, he can definitely pull it off. But seriously, on basically anyone else I have ever seen them that big on, it's just ew, too much.

I'm a 14 year old guy, and I'm straight.
My dad had ear piercings when he was young, but is against them now.

I think one in the left ear would be great, but it's not exactly common at my school, but I think most guys look better with them in, if only it were more socially acceptable.

I'll probably get one when I'm 18 cos they're awesome and stop wearing it at about 30ish idk. I'll probably get a tattoo or two as well.

And I'll let you in on a secret. I recently tried to pierce myself with a safety pin (which worked but the hole was invisible after about 5 minutes) and then an earring (which hurt like hell and I didn't finish).

So yeah, go for it! Earrings are a part of being young and I'm gonna let my kids have them if they want.
