Shrek soundtracks

That movie shrek, it makes me so angry when they put classic songs onto their soundtrack. Like I can understand songs by fergie, counting crows, smash mouth, damien rice etc. but I am talking about the ramones, led zeppelin, tom waits, nick cave & bad seeds and david bowie.
cmon!!! my most favourite artists and bands put onto a bloody childrens movie. argh..
