So I've had a problem lately where the top of my penis has been bigger than the rest of it and I'm not sure what's going on..
I worry a lot so I've been thinking that it could be something cancer related.
I would ask one of my family members about it but I live mostly with my mom and I think it'd be weird to ask her, but if it does turn out to be something bad then I will tell her right away. Oh and I'm 13 years old in case you need that info. Thanks :)

Top of it is bigger than the rest? I think you're talking about the glans part, which is naturally bigger.

Do you mean the very end of it where the pee hole is, is bulging out bigger then the rest of the glans (head)?
If you mean the entire glans has gotten a lot bigger, that's just puberty. Mine got a lot bigger what seemed overnight.

Are you having trouble peeing, like the tube is being squeezed shut?

don't be afraid of going to the doctor and asking your mother to go to the doctor ( I found that to be the worst part :) is something extremely important that men don't do enough …

Since you are really worried about it tell your Mom that you need to see the Doctor, there is a growth or something, be up front don't be embarrassed. She my ask a couple of questions, does it hurt, problem peeing, burning sensation.. I doubt she will ask to see it.
**If you have not talked to her yet GO DO IT NOW **

You need to talk to your parents. As said above, they most likely are going to ask you a few questions such as does it hurt, do you have any problems peeing etc. They will know what to do and maybe even know the answer. If not, they will schedule an appointment with your doctor. The key thing is to not be embarrassed.

Must be the glands inside. It's perfectly normal.

If you think your penis' head is swollen or is not the size it should be, then you have to be checked out without a doubt. Honestly, don't worry about your mom's reaction because she's the parent, and it's her job to deal with all sorts of gross stuff. This is probably the same person who used to change your diapers, deal with butt rashes, and had to potty train you, and a swollen penis is going to be a pretty small thing in the greater scheme of things. Just talk to your mom and be direct and honest with her that you have a problem with your dick, and she will deal with the situation. After all, your mom knows how penises work because you would not have been born without one, and she is not going to be freaked out. Most teenage guys have issues down there, and this day was going to happen. Probably the only awkward thing that might happen is that your mom might ask if you have been having sex. If the answer is no, then you're fine. If the answer is yes and your mom is not all right with it, then you might have a small problem. In the end, your mom will get you help no matter what.

Do not be afraid to tell your mom anything just because it might be awkward, i know from experience when it comes to these type of topics, i had some issues with my lower region and honestly all my mom cared about was helping me and when you go to the doctor she does not have to be in the room with you, she will wait outside and the doctor can just see you by your self. It really relieving knowing what is happening to your body.
