[I didn't know where else to put this]
I'm thinking about going Trick-or-Treating this year, but I don't know if I would be considered too old for this kind of stuff. All I know is that it's fun and I GET FREE FOOD! So how old do you guys think is too old for this?

I think you are never too old, if you go with your kids.

I would say 16. When we have kids come to our house, we give them candy. If we see a bunch of teenagers coming, we just dont answer the door.

16 is already pretty old I think.

I stopped last year (I was 15 then) and just sat at my house, had a bonfire, and handed out candy to the kids that came to my house. But, it's all up to you.

Being older than 13 might remove some of the fun, but age shouldn't stop you

I'm like just stopping.

I think the maximum age is 18. I think once you get out of high school, then that is too old.
The majority of people I know stopped when they were like 15 or 16. Once you get older, I think it becomes more you just staying at home or going to a Halloween party. I'm not in high school anymore. So most people I know go to parties on Halloween, but it was still like that at my high school too.
I think 16 is a good age to stop, but it can go up until you graduate high school. After that, it is definitely time to stop.

I felt like last year when I was 12 was the last year I should be doing it. Even though I'm so small and can easily pass for 10 or 11, I think I'm too old for it. But now I'm at the age for Halloween parties and I'm going to one this year instead of T-or-T.

The last year I went I was 12. several adults told me they thought I was too old and refused to give me anything. that ended T or T for me. so I guess 12 or over is to old.

I dont really know to be honest. Serious trick-or-treating I'd say around about 12-13. Then you hit a black hole for a few years where you're too old, but then around 16-18 is alright, not so much trick-or-treating, but going out for a laugh and stuff. Actual Trick-Or-Treating though, I'd say 13 at the most.

I have never been trick or treating because my parents won't let me, I went to one halloween party once but we had to go late so that we didn't go trick or treating with all the kids. I've always really really wanted to go, the most fun I can get is handing out candy, I think you're never too old to trick or treat, when I'm grown up I am going to go, I'm only 5' tall (stopped growing) and with a costume or facepaint nobody will turn me away right?

I stopped at around 12 like everyone else, but I don't think you're ever too old. If you want to go then go, why pin yourself into a box that only little kids get all the fun and candy?

i did it last year (12) and it wasn't as much fun. so this year am going to a halloween party. so to me 12 is last year

I stopped going when I was 13. I figured it was stupid for me to continue if people would turn me down. You're never too old honestly to get free candy, if they can give samples of candy at supermarkets, why not door to door?

I politely disagree, why can't you get candy over 12? But whatever, that's what you think, so never mind that. Bleh to adults who think over 12 is too old for candy...
whats trick or treating?
Going door-to-door in your neighborhood (dressed up) and getting candy

Not really. How can they tell you're 18? What if you aren't really 18 but you look older than your age? There's nothing wrong with wanting to get candy at that age though.
My answer is that you're never too old. I stopped one year and I still regret it. I went every year up (except the year I didn't go) until 18, but that was only because I started college and I obviously wasn't able to be at home and go ToTing. Also, I never get invited to parties, so I could only go ToTing to get any candy. I love getting free candy and picking out any I really like.
I had no friends and generally went with my dad. I went with my little brother as well till he started to go to other neighborhoods because HE had FRIENDS. The last year I went ToTing I went by myself without my dad. Wasn't very fun but meh I got candy.

I think it's 13-14 if you don't have littler kids with you.

Because at that point it becomes slightly creepy. But I mean if you don't LOOK 18 then it's not AS creepy.

I'm 16 and I went Trick or Treating last year! :P
I'm starting to get too old for Trick or Treating, but you're never too old to dress up on Halloween. I think I might go to a Halloween Party this year instead of trick or treating.

I stopped trick-or-treating about 3 years ago.......maybe its because I was forced to grow up so fast :/

I'd say 11-12. If you're found trick or treating round here in your teens you'll be laughed at forever. Plus any age older than that and you'll find people having Halloween parties instead and by party I mean the 'lets dress up as sluts, get drunk and get on as many guys as we can' kind of parties - and thats only age 13/14. Yeah the kids around here are classy.

What? Where do you live? Because that's what Halloween IS. Trick or treating. That's what you do on Halloween. It's impossible to explain to somebody what Halloween is without mentioning trick-or-treating

i live in the US atm, but it isn't where i grew up. my life is everywhere and nowhere. this is what my life has been like: not being allowed to leave my house without my parents. unless it is for school.

I think going trick-or-treating after you turn 18 is kind of embarrassing. Sure, you can still dress up and go to parties, but it would be pretty weird to go door to door asking for free candy. I'm still going this year, though, with some of my friends and my siblings.

16. Usually people under 16 can pass for 13 or 14. But alot of the times older people have Halloween partys instead of trick or treating.

I have never really done it cause I honestly don't find the fun in it, its just annoying neighbours to get free candy, and honestly in halloween I already have a lot of candy apart from the fact that I am not a big fan of candy. But I think the age of thirteen or fourteen would be a decent limit.

Middle school/deep voice. Basically once you hit puberty and get that deep voice (for guys) or finish 8th grade/year 9. Teenage years basically.
