After reading meany books and used my bwain (intentional misspelling) I have come to the conclusion that the more we try to make our world perfect, the more imperfect it becomes in the long run. So to be blunt, a utopia is not possible.

thank the lord, that's why we tread carefully and I agree, Africa (and other countries) will always be poor, why waste our resources trying to tackle the problem? unless we're allies or it benifits us, stay out!
as for national level I agree still but one must stride to make their country great because when no one does, the country falls apart

Depends on what you consider a utopia.

Africa will also be poor- Nigeria isn't poor neither is south Africa.

A utopia could never exist, you are correct because even when only few are left standing, one person will have dislike for another.

Utopia is a paradox. When you reach it (and you can't), you're at the top and the only way is down. Perfection has different meanings to us all even though perfection is an absolute thing. How perfect/imperfect and good/bad the world is depends on your outlook.

I think that once corruption is gone from all the world's governments (in a non-illuminati kind of corruption way) the world will be a much better place. Africa would have a chance to develop, and contribute more to the world.

Everyone has a different idea of perfection, so there can really only be utopia for one of us. Unless you consider it all in our heads, and we're all happy, even if we're starving, poor, or anything else.

South Africa isn't super poor, but it still has a large poverty population. And Nigeria's GDP per capita is only $1500. That sounds pretty poor to me.
Sub Saharan Africa will probably, in all foreseeable future, remain very poor. There's two main reasons for this a) a relative lack of resources, and b) two many different groups of people who can't get along living too close together, which generates conflict.

>acting like Africa is one huge country
Seriously, every time you mention Africa, I have to laugh. You act like it's just one country when it's a multitude of countries built on different economies. Are you literally THAT daft? Also, all of Africa isn't poor. Harry pointed out some good examples to look at.

I think there's always hope in making the world a better place, but there's no way it will ever be perfect place because it's inhabited by imperfect people.

NIgera has a lot of oil wealth, a lot of the western coast countries have the potential to do very well. South Africa does have poverty problems but they have an abundance of resources and they're becoming industrialized. I still think it's rather stupid to say that Africa will always be poor considering as said above Africa isn't a country

Firstly, Africa is a continent and has the most countries on it than any continent on Earth.
Secondly, Africa as a whole is full of resources but like in Sierra Leonne the resources are being misused and taken, and please forgive my misspelling.
Thridly, everyone sees utopia differently, things could be a lot worse. I believe a utopia can exist, this Earth was one once but now is near dystopia status.
I believe a utopia exists but after this life.
