I hate diets. Disgusted. They always leave me hungry and I somehow always want to keep on eating unhealthy stuff. BUT, I know however, that I am slightly overweight now, and I should probably make some changes to my eating habits.

Anyone willing to share some tips? :D

It's all a matter of attitude.
If you want to be more healthy(if you think you require a diet to achieve that), you'll do it without complaining.
Build your psychology.

Hi,

A little while back I wanted to lose weight, so I decided to diet, diet, diet. However, this didn't work. Because it didn't work, I got disheartened, which wanted me to eat more because I wanted to comfort eat.

I essentially realised over time that diets don't actually work and diets aren't needed. I now eat whatever I want, whenever I want and I keep a trendy body weight of just 10 stone (I'm 17, Male; around a little under weight for my BMI) and now I've started gym. Doing cardio, boxing workouts and some muscular endurance (I just want to keep fit, really).

ANYWAY;

My secret is this and to be fair, it really isn't a secret, it's a well known psychological technique to access someones mind, so they can create changes for the real physical world. I used Hypnosis. Buy a book called: "I can make you thin" by Paul Mckenna. As I started this post today, I'll be posting a great deal of my posts with referals for Paul Mckennas books. This is because, they work! As you read the book, his linguistic patterns implant new ideas in the back of your mind, so when you sleep at night, you start a creative process of focusing towards that goal. And then, you listen to the mind-programming CD every day for two weeks (only two weeks, really) and you'll start to shift your thinking towards eating less, doing fitness, etc.

At first, this seems like a lot of work, however YOU DO NOT EVEN NOTICE IT, you only notice the results. I didn't even notice what I was doing, until people started asking what I was doing; because they all noticed such good results.

Check it out (you probably can get a great deal on amazon) and read the book and listen to the hypnosis CD.

I encourage Hypnotherapy for clearing or changing every issue, problem, you name it.

1. Be aware you can change
2. Decide what you want.
3. Study people who have made it.
4. Eat less and be aware what you're eating.
5. Work out!

Good luck :)

I used to be fat.. Not obese, but pretty damn close.

The reason was due to consuming a lot of sugar throughout each day.

When I was 13-14 I used eat relatively healthy however, I would drink at least 1 litre of sugary drinks per day. That equated to roughly 132 grams of sugar per day in just drinks. I'd also have a few snacks and my meals would no doubt contain some sugar.

So, in just one month I'd consume at least 8.15lb of sugar (in drinks alone), just to put that into perspective.

So no surprise when I stopped having sugary drinks I started losing 5lb every few days.

If you have lots of sugar, cut down on it, it will help a lot.

As someone above me said, it's all about attitude.
Happiness is a choice you can make, your attitude is a choice you can make. Yes this food is good but it's bad for you. The channel Shayloss on Youtube is great. Shay Carl Butler, the guy who runs it, has been making daily videos for 4 years, it will be 5 in March. In 2011 he lost 100 pounds. Since then he has done 'Shaytember' (September.. 2012 I believe, possibly 2011 as well) and this year 'Shaytober' (October '13, PLUS he had a new baby at the end of the month and with all the yummy unhealthy food gifts he still kept it up) and now doing 'Brovember' (November '13). He makes videos almost every day and they are awesome. He talks all about working out, being positive, losing weight, and how to live a happier life. He is married to the love of his life, has 5 amazing children, a dog, lives in Los Angeles, he is probably the happiest man in the world, and he can teach you how to be happy too - and as you are wanting to do, get into shape.
