Okay so me and this girl use to be friends but she started lying a lot and I didn't like it so I didn't want to be her friend anymore. After I tried staying away from her she would tell on me for stupid stuff like having my cell phone in my pocket etc. So we ended up getting into an argument and she pushed me but I didn't push her back cause I'm a guy so I kinda can't. Recently I was told she talks about me when I'm not there and she punched my friend in the face so me and another friend went up to the girl I use to be friends with and she kept saying that she slapped her and that there was a difference when the girl that got punched said she punched her not slapped her. Then the girl walked away and today me and my friend were called to the principle's office because the girl told the principal we threatened her when we didn't we just asked her why she punched her. What should I do to convince the principal I'm not lying I've gotten in trouble because of that girl lying before so what do I do I'm really scared I'll get in trouble.

Why don't you explain him all the situation? It's your word against hers, she doesn't have any evidence. Stay away from that girl forever, I don't think she deserves your friendship.

I'll be honest this can be a piss pour situation. If they believe the girl more your screwwed. All you cando ix explain. And the BEST way to explain is to point out reasons why her story ddoesn't make sense and yours does. Fight with intelligence.

Like "why would I threaten her when she did or said this?" Make the principal think about it. Point out inconsistences in her story.

Think long and hard about everything exchanged between you and come up with the above.

This is your best bet. Its kind of an art, like being a lawyer. It takes practice to get good at sporting the opponents weak spots. I had to do this ALL the time in school and I still do in college. I really sucked at first but now I'm the best in my class at any kind of debate. Practice helps a ton. So think about it and talk it out with a friend and have them say what weaknesses they find.

Good luck man. I think your best bet is to do what Katiya advises and afterwards to avoid the little lying bitch-girls like that are just evil.
