Here's a few simple ways to stay positive throughout your day.~
Smile! Just take a second to stop and smile at yourself in the mirror. Try to back it up with a positive thought; you'll be surprised to find yourself in a happier mood.
Exercise. Physical activity can help depression. When you exercise you get your hormones in balance which has a positive effect on your body. You'll be in a better mood, have better self-confidence and self-esteem while also staying healthy. It can be lifting weights, yoga, running; just find something you enjoy and stick with it.
Go outside. If you're able to, go outside whenever you can. Take a walk, watch the clouds, the birds, whatever you want. But being inside all the time isn't healthy.
Try focusing on the positive things. We all have flaws, and we tend to focus on those rather than our stronger qualities. Find things about yourself that you love and/or that you know you're good at and try focusing on them rather than putting yourself down.
Eating better. Foods loaded with sugar and carbs are going to make you feel sluggish throughout the day. Try eating more vegetables and fruits.
Spend time with your pets. If you have a pet, spend time with it. Animals are soothing, loving, and completely lovable.
Help people. You feel good when you help other people, so why not do it more often? Hold the door open, offer to carry someone's bags, help a short lady reach the can on the top shelf.
Music and singing. Find music you like and listen to it. Better yet, sing your fucking heart out.
Don't give up. Depression of any kind is hard to deal with, but you can overcome it.
