This week-end I was with a friend str8-curious BTW and he told me that sometimes I behave like a chick- kinda girlish. I think I'm not a girly boy AT ALL but he said I like so much kissing and cuddling and that stuff is girly and he didn't like it. I'm gay and I love guys its a girly behavior to like kissing or hugging? I'm confused now. I'm gay not out yet.

I wouldn't say I was girly, if anything i'd say i was more camp than girly. I think nearly everybody likes kissing and cuddling sometimes tbh

Im not really the kissing type person. I hug girls if they come hug me first (We have girls in our school that do friendly hugs with people). I really hate cuddling though.....well, probably since ive been single for 16 years and dont know what its like.

I'm not that macho or manly, I'm artistic, I sing, and I love fashion and crafts yet I'm not feminine, my hobbies are but not necessarily me.

I probably would look like an emo or fem guy but would talk masculine and act it since I do anyway. I know, conflicting styles.

Well, I am very sensitive and compassionate... But I never have kissed or cuddled and wouldn't want to, keep your lips on your face andoff of mine. I do like hugs with friends and I've been single for 19 years since I am 19!

You mean effeminate? I am in the way that I get emotional more easily than other guys. Most guys at least, maybe there are more ppl like me in emotions than I think, and we don't let it known to anyone else....

Probably because I read girly books, watch girly TV shows, and listen to girly music, and occasionally make very high pitched noises.

Keith, I know you are a sports guy like me. I don't think I am girly at all. Like you I do like cuddeling and kissing with my best friend (that is new though), but other than that I am just like any other boy - I hope. To be out as gay, would be suicide for me here in Georgia.
I just enjoy what I can with my BF, and go on the next day.

It is not "girly" to like to kiss and cuddle, and it is kind of hard to be involved with someone without doing those things! There are plenty of guys who like to give hugs and who are physical, and all of that depends on your culture. There are some cultures where physical contact is really frowned upon while in others physical contact is encouraged. If you look at Italian people, then they're pretty open with their emotions especially the guys. I hardly think two straight Italian guys hugging each other is "girly." If your a German or one of those northern Europeans, then most forms of physical contact is blah and might be viewed with suspicion especially among guys. Basically, physical contact comes from culture, and you're not "girly" especially if you come from a home where your family and friends are pretty open with one another.

I am guessing your friend might still be having issues with his sexuality, and he is probably afraid of getting too close to you especially if he is only curious and not gay. Your friend is the one with issues and not you, and just be yourself because you're not doing anything wrong. The only way you could possibly be considered "girly" is if you are wearing tight jeans like what girls wear and are wearing make up and are in clothes that make people wonder whether you're a boy or a girl.

I'm by no means macho or super-masculine, but I'm not very girly either (although other people probably say I am hah)

I do musical theatre though and lots of theatre in general and I'm a huge Lady Gaga fan and so and yesss I love kissing and hugging guys and I hug friends too hah...

but then to people I don't know I'm a lot quieter and stuff. Also my voice is really low lol.
