Thats the link to the full story.
But basically our government is going to pay most of the US public that is an adult and makes a certain amount of money up to 600 dollars in hoopes that it would stimulatew the economy. I think this is a horrible idea because if a recession is really coming on most people would save that $600. Also, if the plan goes bad then the US just put itself $150 billion more in debt on top of the 9 trillion that we already are.
What are your thoughts on this!?!

Its a waste of time and its pointless. The checks won't come in for months so it really won't be immediate 'relief.'

This isn't an attempt to help the economy, this is all political. This is an election year. They need to make it look like they're doing something so when it comes for time for reelection they can say hey we tried to help and gave you money.

They don't give a rat's ass if you're suffering because they're all well off.

How about the fact that printing money and sending it to people to spend on Chinese goods won't stimulate the economy, anyway?

Yeah that too. I just wanted to put to rest any possible 'well they're trying to help' statements.
