ok, so i woke up this morning with a sore throat (that i have had for 3 days now) and when i talk, my voice is a hell of a lot deeper than usual. is my voice breaking/broken, or is it my throat?
p.s i have a really high pitched voice and I have noticed it cracking a tiny bit when i sing really high pitched songs.

Well, it can be either, see if it lasts. But voice cracking is a sure sign.

I lost my ability to hit high notes when my voice broke:( Enjoy it while it lasts.

Usually a sore throat clears in the course of a day. So if it's still deeper tonight I'd say it's breaking.

It could just be be because of the sore throat could make it do that, or it could be your voice changing because of puberty.

It could be either. I guess you just have to wait and see if its a permanent change. If your voice is changing it may go up and down (crack) for a while until it settles down to the new pitch.

Either.
Sore throat/cold if you have a sore throat is probably why it is lower

Couldn't have said it better myself.
I wanted my voice to change soooo bad and when it finally did, it literally dropped a whole octave almost overnight.
I miss being able to sing songs by Journey (my favorite band) more than anything in the world!

Probably your voice breaking. Sore throats can come with it.

You're voice can sound a lot deeper when you have a sore throat/cold. However it could also be your voice changing. So I guess it could be both. You'll just have to wait and see.

Given that you said that you had a sore throat I'd say it's probably a cold and your voice is just hoarse.. But i suppose it could be breaking
