Who could play Heath Ledger's Joker?

The Dark Knight series is over, but what if they did another movie with the Joker. Like if they did The Killing Joke? Is there anyone who could play the Joker in the spirit of Heath Ledger's performance?

Ledger's Joker was unique, I do not think it can be portrayed again as well as Ledger did. However someone can play a different kind of Joker (like the Arkham City joker) and do a quality performance like Ledger did with his Joker.

People need to remember, as brilliant and stunning as Heath Ledgers portrayal of the dark and twisted Joker was, there will always be someone out there that could do it is well. Everyone said no one would be able to match Jack nicholsons depiction of the Joker and then Heath came along. I think the obvious choice is Johnny Depp, he has experience in pulling of some crazy and unique characters, and i think the role is right up his alley.

Probably back in the day people said no one could replace Jack Nicholson as Joker. If there can be new Batmans there can be new Jokers. Joker is a character that's been around forever, it's not like it was introduced with Heath Ledger or he established the character. So I don't think it's right to say the next Heath Ledger, because it would be the next Joker who's been played by several actors including Mark Hamel for the animated version.

Simply put it, no one can come close to matching Heath. The Joker died with Heath!

It was an acting masterclass. He made the film. I think it'd be fine to make another Batman film with the Joker, just as long as they don't try to replicate Heath's performance.
