I went out of my comfort zone this week and went to a LGBT based club. I was ssoo nervous walking in since I'm not out. We spent pretty much the entire meeting on an icebreaker activity and I didn't get the feeling that the group did a lot of fun and outgoing things; although there were a few things. Honestly in a way I was hoping the group would help me find potential BFs at school but most people there were unfortunately the stereotypical gay guy/girl. Anyways, what do your LGBT organizations do and about how many people are in them?

I wish my city had one :( sounds like fun lol I haven't come out to anyone and I have to keep those feelings inside and I just want to tell someone but I don't know anybody! I'm about to burst!

Never been one, and omg never gonna go.
Well.. I don't know. I did see one group that was a gay/straight alliance and nobody is required to say which one they are. But I'm still not very comfortable with that idea.

I don't think it would be too hard to figure out ...

There isn't one here. Saddeningly.
If there was I'd join.

LMAO my school doesn't have one! If they did I'd go in as an ally because I don't need the bullies to get the satisfaction of being right.

My college has a GSA, but we don't call it a gay-straight alliance, it's the Gender and Sexuality Alliance. I just joined so not much on that front, but we did a table at pride and I met the mayor :P They also host movie nights, "naughty" bake sales, drag shows, AIDS walks, etc.

My school is Catholic and of course there are nothing like this LOL but I haven't heard in my County either, and TBH I would never join that kind of clubs.

How do you all work to meet other people who may be bi or gay?

Just frequent areas that they usually would hang out in, or just become friends with them. You may very well be surprised, some of your friends you have already might be LGBT and just not be out :P

My school has a group associated with our local GSM/LGBT support organization that meets once a week for pizza lunch. We don't actually do anything besides talk about stuff, but we talk about a lot and I've met a lot of friends there :)
