I haven't had a very good experience with dating.
I asked out a girl (Let's call her Allison) my sophomore year, and that didn't work out. Luckily it isn't so awkward when we run into each other around school. We get along pretty well.
I asked a girl (Lets call her Jean) out in Junior year, that didn't work. It isn't quite as smooth as it is with Allison; it's pretty awkward.
In May, my best friend set me up with a mutual friend of her's (let's call her Brianna). We had some really great dates, but I ended breaking up with her in July because she was really unreliable.
I'm a senior now, and I'm single.
However, there is this girl in my history class of interest. She's really nice and sweet and all those great things. When we see each other in the hall, she waves at me. If we're sitting next to each other at lunch or in class, she'll spark up conversation. If I've got ear-buds in, she'll inquire into what music I'm listening to. Point is, she's really nice. I'd love to ask her out, but there's a few big issues though...
Her brother was a drummer in a band with me until just recently. He's off at college now. Me and him get along great, but I don't know if it'd be weird to try and date his sister...especially when he's at college.
My sister is in a band with her, and they're really good friends.
We have a lot of mutual friends. So if something went sour that'd be really awkward.
She's really sweet, and I don't wanna...how should I say this...make her feel bad if she's definitely not interested. And I really like her as a friend as well, and I don't want it to seem like I'm just trying to get something out of her.
So, what do you guys think? What are some thoughts on this?
