Commando at the pool

Would it be classed as inappropriate or gross to go to the pool commando?
I hate underwear and a couple of time I've seen my dad go commando at the pool and other people do it and they get dirty looks. So it it wrong just to wear a hoodie and trackies without a shirt or underwear?

I don't get what you're talking about. Generally no one wears underwear under their swimwear. I certainly never have, and I'm not into commando. Just wear a pair of trunks that have a lining that does the same thing as underwear. Most trunks are made that way.

And no it's not wrong to wear a hoodie and trackies without a shirt or underwear. There's plenty of respectable people who never wear underwear with any kind of clothes ever.

I would never wear underwear when swimming, apart from adding a layer of bulky absorbent cloth, what would be the point. I wear speedos for competitive swimming and my regular swim shorts have a mesh liner that holds everything in place.
