Does anyone use their local gym, YMCA, etc. for swimming? Anyone in swimming clubs? Wow! I have really gotten into swimming and while I haven't seen weight loss I am toning my body fast. Fat is turning lean and although I don't have much of a belly (just a little) it is getting flatter.

Also, as a guy, it gives me the ability to wear a speedo without any criticism. There's nothing better than swimming in a speedo as you feel so free in the water. No shorts bunching up and holding you back. Plus no one snickers or makes fun of the suit as it is the appropriate swimming costume. I have a jammer and it's good too.

Anyone who wants to get in shape, start swimming. Speedo is running a great ad campaign called Get Speedo Fit, check some of their videos out on YouTube.

Swimming is one of the most complete things you can do, it is quite recommendable as you have said.

I do, but I rarely hit the pool now because my schedule is always full.
Hopefully now that I'm dropping chemistry class, it'll give me a bit more free time to take better care of my body :)

I swim most days, we have a local pool but it gets real busy after school so i have been using a local lake its about 100m across, i manage to do 4 widths of the lake every afternoon on the way home from school. i have found the same belly fat is reducing and arm and shoulder muscles are toned more. school shirts are getting quite tight now.

met an older guy at the lake and he tels me he swims there though the winter when water temps go down to 5c he had hart problems a few years ago and the swimming in cold water helped with his circulation, plus he said he lost pounds in weight. i may see how long i can keep going to the lake, mom thinks i am soft going there this late in the year??. may just have to tell her i switched to the pool?.

I always swim... When I get home from school I jump in the pool and do some laps as I love being in the water. Our pool is more for show than general use but it's great for doing laps. It always calms me and gets rid of stress. I do triathlons as well when they are local, so it keeps my swimming form great.

A little bit, and I do have a membership to the ymca, but I despise chlorine which holds me back.

I used to always do swimming. I was part of a club to which I was going every Saturday morning. I would go home and return in the afternoon to swim as well, and would go swimming on Sunday mornings. I used to enjoy it, but then I quit. I still love swimming, but I hardly go any more.
