I just started Sixth form, and was the only one out of my old school to go there, I thought it would be easy making new friends but i'm so awkward it's unreal. I have such a difficult time talking to people I don't know, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to be more relaxed in these situations? .-.

Take a deep breath, they are humans like yourself, they have flaws and everything. Just say Hi :)

Im sort of the same, I dont really "go out" that much and talk to people. But if you want to make friends, just walkup to someone and say Hi. Thats pretty much it. After that, if they dont walk away, start a conversation, find there interests, etc. Its not as hard as you think it is.

I have same problem with socializing at school. The first thing is just try being friendly instead of aloof. And what I mean by that is just look them in the eye and give them a genuine smile and say hi or hey or sup. Start with that, being a nice person. And then give yourself time to get more familiar with them. Like Eduardo said, they're just as human and ordinary as you and the rest of us. If your nice enough, hopefully they'll take a shine to you.
