hey.
well i am not sure if i ave one or not. so i was just wondering if it do.
- i have the biggest fear of putting on weight ever!
- i weigh myself everyday like at least 3 times a day.
- i like cry if i put on weight.
- i always think about making myself vomit. get so close to doing it but then never do.
- i always look at my stomach.
- i think i am fat, when i am under weight.
- i pinch the fat on my arms and legs all the time.
- i am constantly thinking about how fat i am.
- i go on like periods of time without eating.
- i would rather die then be fat!!!!!!
i hope you can help me.

I do not believe that you necessarily have an eating disorder, but there is something wrong. You need to find a way to accept yourself. Also, whatever you do, do not throw up or skip eating for that is horrible for your health. You need to somehow find a way to come to piece with that fact that you are normal and you need to accept your body.

Try getting more exercise maybe? Exercise always makes you feel good.

i wouldn't go and automatically assume you have an eating disorder, but it sounds more like your developing an ednos (eating disorder non otherwise specificated) it can either be when you fit some, but not all qualities of the 'known" eating disorders, or other habits and things that fit into certain catagories verus others.
try googling the term, and it'll come up with some common ones. they still are just as damaging to your body as anorexia or bulima would be, and are sadly overlooked by many.

Just a slight correction. When you say "both", remember that there are more than two eating disorders. There's Anorexia, Bulimia, Bulimorexia (a combination where they try not to eat and throw up what they do eat), there's Diabulimia (where a Diabetic person doesn't take their insulin in order to lose weight), binge eating (where someone overeats on purpose), and others.

I'm not sure that you would clinically have an eating disorder, but you seem really close.
Since you're aware that you have 'isues' with eating that could get out of control, it's best to try to address them before they do. Either within yourself, or with the help of some adults. Once it's a full blown disorder, it is much moe difficult to address. Prevention is the key here.

oh wow, thank you for that correction. i totally didn't see that this morning. i'll edit that now.
although i've known about bulimorexia and binge eating disorder amoung others, i've never even heard of Diabulima before, so i guess that's proof that the variations for this is endless.
as to the original poster; hope all stays well for you.

No, I'm not saying there's nothing to worry about! From your description of yourself, it sounds like there's a lot to worry about. Just not an eating disorder, yet.
I think you might want to address those other issues befroe they develop into something much worse.

One of my friends was going through the same thing. You just need to be easier on yourself. Like the others say, if you don't address this insecurity now, it will only get worse over time. Don't be too overanalytical of your weight, learn to accept that you are beautiful.

Yes, you have an eating disorder. You have anorexia nervosa.
Symptoms-Youre obsessed with being thin when you already are. You have a poor body image and you sometimes starve yourself.
Risks-malnutrition, damage to kidneys, heart ,reproductive organs, irregular heart rate, stomach pain, weakness/faitgue, hair loss, dull/yellow skin, abscence of menstrual cycle
Treatment-Get counsiling, get a physical examination, hospital stay.

you have a problem, yes. but i don't think it is necessarily anorexia quite yet. if you aren't careful it could turn into that, and believe me you don't want that. just tell yourself that you don't have to be skin and bones. if you are really worried about gaining weight, just eat healthy. fruits, veggies, easy on carbs, fats, and sodium. eat in moderation, lots of little snacks (healthy and small of course) between meals. don't do three large meals a day because that slows your metabolism and you can gain weight that way. drink lots of water or fruit juice instead of soda or energy drinks. exercise throughout the week. i believe that three 20 minute workouts a week is recommended, but i could be wrong. talk to a doctor and get a professional opinion as we can't be a 100% sure. talk with a therapist if you don't already have one and explore why you're worried about your body image. above all don't just stop eating. you actually gain weight that way because your body feeds on the fat in your body.
so just talk to a doctor, or the nurse at your school, and see what they think.
hope that helps.

You could be in the early stages of ednos perhaps.. I'm not a doctor, so I can't make any diagnosis.. try talking to a therapist or someone you can confide in.
