when a thread is locked it should dissapear so that there arent so many locked threads out there

old threads that are locked are kept so that people can still view the information within them. this my help answer any questions they may have without creating a new thread.

I've never had a problem with them just being locked
it allows for a record
they don't hurt anyone

No, I actually think that it would be good to leave them because, well, people still search for threads and it would be good to see past ones like those.

Well I believe that they are pruned after a certain period of time.

No, they aren't.

Anyway if we deleted threads instead then people will wonder where the thread went and possibly repost them again.

We only delete threads if they absolutely don't need to be viewed publicly.

well like legalbeagle said they should only stay for a while especially if they never get aney poasts before being locked!!
it bothers me when i want to make a comment ant the thread is locked!! with zero poasts!!!
