I would never do any sort of service, even for my own country. *shrug* I don't understand it, but it makes some people happy I guess otherwise there would be no armies or marines or whatever.

If you're not already in excellent shape start working out. 4 years is plenty of time to get yourself ready. I'm sure I could do any of the physical stuff they want you to do, even the guys, because I'm in great shape. I run usually 3 miles a day, some days more, once in a while miss a day. I go to the gym at least 4-5 times a week. I eat right and don't put any nasty processed food in me.

Personally, I would never do it, because I'm not into being shouted at and told what to do, but I'm glad there are people willing to serve, it's an admirable calling.

I was thinking of Army, but im not 100% in shape. I also dont want to be shipped off to other areas and have the major risk of being killed each day. Thats why im settling for Police Officer (safer area around here)

thanks for all of the replies and i think i have a good shot once i get in shape and work out often and ive never minded when some one tells me what to do or shouted at me

I had an army day in high school (we went to one of the training camps and basically took part in some of their training activities) and actually really enjoyed it as far to momentarily consider it as a career however judging by my size I doubt it'd ever really work :P

Its not really something i'v even considered. At the moment no job I look at looks like one i want to do. In time.
