How many of you teenagers bike?
Do you bicycle for fitness? For transportation? or for Both?

I would like to bicycle down to my grocery market, or to nearby stores, or the swimming pool, but I think it's a bit intimidating when I'm on a 45mph road. I'm worried cars will be honking at me and harassing me. Even though I think this, I saw a kid younger than me on his bmx bike riding on the same 45mph road.

Also, what kind of bike do you have? Brand? Model? Price?

My dad has a walmart bike from since I was a little boy, he used to put me on the back with a seat carrier and ride around the neighborhood. It's working fine, but idk if it will break soon. It's just that I don't have the money to buy a $600-$800 road bike. :(

I don't because the chain got stretched or something a while ago and I haven't gotten a chance to take it to the shop.

I bike around - sometimes on busier roads - can you maybe ride with others just to get the feel off it.

I always wear a hi vis vest - if its getting dark make sure your lights work.

My bikes are always junk builds -

If I learned how to ride a bike...without training wheels...I would...but I haven't and I haven't touched my bike - which frankly would be too small for me anyways - for years.

I never learned :/

I had a bicycle but I gave up when I was young and my dad didn't push me. Now I probably have even worse balance and I'm petrified to even try again.

Personally, I have a bmx bike that hasn't gotten nearly enough love as of late. It's pretty good quality but nothing flash.

My father is really in to building bikes and just bikes in general so he has also built me a road bike from different parts. I would like to ride that bike to my uni, but the road is terrible and the bike path comes and goes, and I would be forced to ride against the traffic.

If you can ride regularly I really suggest you do. It's a great thing to do and keeps you fit. Just be aware of your local road rules in regards to bike riding.

Once a week I used to ride in the neighbourhood...it's really nice
Well, I don't ride when the road is busy because I'll have to be extremely cautious and won't get the expected pleasure :)

I use my bike for transportation quite often. I'm a bit timid but that's 'cause it's been awhile since I've been out on the road. Always refresh yourself on your city or hometown's driving rules and laws. Cyclists must obey the same rules if they are on the road, even in bike lanes.

It's not so bad once you get enough practice.
