I recently posted a thread in the Questions For Boys And Girls section, and it was removed without my knowing until I couldn't find it anymore. I am not sure what was wrong with the question nor do I know whether it was locked, removed, moved, etc. I haven't received any PMs from any mods and I'm not sure what I did wrong. I'm hoping to get a feasible answer please. :(

This request would probably be best PM'd to a staff member instead of posted publicly.

Did you check the "Pueberty 101 Archives" ? (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=291) Most locked threads are in that category, and the explanation why it was deleted is usually in there to. If it is not, just PM one of the Puberty 101 Mods (Kryptonite, Lost in the Echo, Emerald Dream, LouBerry)

It was probably inappropriate.

I think you mean The Last of Us and not Emerald Dream, she's a GD mod ;)
But yes, in future PM a staff member and they will tell you why. We don't really have time to PM everyone after a thread is deleted, but if you do ask we will tell you.

Was reading a different thread where Emerald Dream posted, and got the 2 mixed up somehow

It was probably inappropriate.
Even if it was the thread should have been marked as inappropriate and have appeared in the Puberty 101 archives. It should have stayed in the initial posting section/forum and have been locked, but still viewable.
I also recommend viewing the forum rules on the inappropriate limit for a post and how vague it is for reference for making a new thread. That's why I think that it didn't interfere with any of the forum post rules.
I'm sorry if I seem to be overly authoritizing myself, but it is a real problem that I'm having with the forums.

I can't imagine what you must've asked for that to happen ... and I'm guessing you can't say and I can't ask because I'm guessing that's breaking a rule.

Why should it have, we have the right to delete the thread. Some things don't really need to be seen on the forums and I do delete thread that have zero replies to them as it just makes more sense. I do tend to PM after, I apologise for not informing you it was deleted. I even replied to your PM, but you still want to make this public, why?
I think the rules are just fine, it's a thread, it's not the end of the world. How does asking what girls think is the ideal dick, or whatever your thread was about, puberty related in the slightest? I mean, I'd listen to your argument if you actually had one but you kind of don't here. Inappropriate and not related to puberty are separate things, so why do we need a rule change just to suit you?

I posted all of this BEFORE I posted anything in this thread so I hadn't recieved your PM beforehand. I really feel bad that you don't consider my thread to have any actual significance to the forums and it makes me feel unimportant. I posted my thread for the purpose of curiosity, and to inform other forum readers. That's pretty much what the forum is all about correct? To inform the thread posters and other viewers as they slowly trudge through puberty. My curiosity is why it was related to puberty in the first place. Most of puberty has to do with being curious and asking questions; again, which is the purpose of the forums.
A rule changing wouldn't just benefit me, it will act as a better resource for other forum posters and it will benefit the mods and admins as well, and ultimately decrease the number of unrelated/inappropriate thread posts. I can't help but feel that your gender may create a bit more bias towards my thread, and I mean that in the LEAST offensive way possible. The fact that you directly scrutinized the content of my thread only assists in my theory.
Again I apologize for posting an unrelated thread and don't appreciate you saying that my thread wasn't of any importance and that my curiosity should go unnoticed. :(

I think you're over thinking this entire situation. You happened to post a thread which a moderator believed was inappropriate (and I think it was as well), and as per the P101 rules, they locked it as it did not really pertain to puberty directly, and they felt it was inappropriate.
Sure, the forum is definitely for asking questions regarding curiosity, development, etc. during puberty. However that definition can't simply be applied to any sort of sexual question with the undertone of "well I'm going through puberty and this has been on my mind because of puberty." That's where moderators need to start drawing the line to what kind of "curiosity questions" are appropriate for VT, and which aren't.
Nobody was trying to belittle you or try and have "your curiosity go unnoticed."
At the same time we can't have all kinds of threads that vaguely (if it all) relate to puberty being posted simply "because of curiosity" as they aren't all appropriate, as yours was not. The moderators of this forum work extremely hard to keep them appropriate and on-topic, and there's absolutely no reason why we should be archiving every single thread that's posted in the Puberty forums - especially if they're inappropriate and have few replies (such as your own thread.)
I would not like to turn this into an argument, therefore I'm closing this thread. If you'd like to reply to me or just expand on what you mean, feel free to PM me. :locked:
