So this is the 6th maybe even 7th day straight, so decided id go back to the doctors not to admit to them im still self harming but to explain to them im feeling low again and becos i wouldnt tell the receptionist what was wrong with me i just explained it was a personal matter she told me id have to wait... So basically i could be suicidal and they wouldnt care a f**k

It's a great step you have made going back to the doctors and being proactive about getting stopping the cycle, a lot of people don't go up to this.

The amount of patients that come through a doctor's surgery for common things such as colds and ear aches are much higher than those that come through for mental health reasons (totally assuming this, sorry).

Although it is hard to explain, from the receptionist's perspective you could have been visiting for a range of things. If it was an emergency then (again, from their perspective) you would either a) tell them what it was, or b) be going to A&E instead of the doctor. If you chose not to tell them (which you have every right to do) they have no more information on how to assess the situation and for all intents and purposes have you safe in the waiting room if anything happens in the mean time.

Did you get to the doctor eventually though? If so, how did it go?

I understand that, i only wanted to get my anti depressant presciption becos i thought it might stop me cutting but when i told them it was personal they could of at least just booked me in and surely people with mental health problems should be considered just as important, i could be suicidal for all they know, there complete idiots at times
