Here's my situation.
I'm really thin
I have very black straight hair I like to keep longish
I have pale skin
I prefer to wear black and I usually wear skinny jeans.
Does this make me an emo looks and fashion wise by default?

I never really understood the whole emo/goth/punk/scene fashion, they all look the same to me :D
Dress however you want and work it!

I don't understand any of it either. But I've been hearing myself referred to as "that emo dude".

My sister gets called emo all the time, but she dresses how she wants. People just like to slap labels on others.

I prefer wearing black and skinny jeans too and I get called emo. But I don't think of myself as emo, you don't have to just go along with defaults or what everyone else thinks. If you want to call yourself emo then do, if not, don't, it's entirely up to you whether you want to see yourself as emo or not :)

I tend to mix up goths and emos, but pffft. Emo, schmemo. Wear what you want! :)
