Hey, Im 14 and i'm a male.
I have had stretch marks since about fourth grade and now i'm a freshman in high school. I got these because I gained ALOT of weight when I was about 3rd - 4th grade after dealing with my parent's divorce I just started eating a lot (not sure why) and my sports stopped because I was so depressed. So I had no exercise and i gained a ton of weight. Now I have these scars on my stomach and sides showing them. Every time i look at them now It reminds me of the divorce and everything i went through and I just want them gone! It's very embarrassing changing for gym and having people point, stare, and ask why it looks like i've been attacked. I've been asked twice now and Its just getting worse on me. Im so embarrassed and i have a very low self esteem. I was wondering if anyone has the same issues as me and if you treated them in any way. I've tried a coco butter cream and i've lost most of the weight since then. (like a lot haha). I just want them gone before someone sees them, like my gym coach, and knows what they actually are and tells everyone. I just made up an excuse saying my cat scratched my stomach and sides when I was a kid and they scared. I can't keep it running for any longer. I know people say coco butter works and some say they never go away but i'm not sure what to believe. I at least want them to fade!

So yeah, does anyone else have them? BOYS AND GIRLS PLEASE.
Thanks ;)

I have them on my thighs and breasts. To be honest I love them, I think they show me and who I am and what I've been through, growing-wise, similar to cutting scars.

I used to have them on my thighs but they are all gone now. Must have just been a growing thing at the time...

I have them on my arms and thighs. There's really no effective method of getting rid of them at this time, but it's nothing to be ashamed about.

I have stretch marks all across my back. The doctors say it's because I grew too fast for my skin, which doesn't surprise me because I shot up like a rocket when I was 14 or so. They used to look awful, almost like I had been whipped. It's been 4 years now, and they're mostly gone. I run my hand down my back and I can't feel them like I could before. They're still noticable, but they're much better than they were a few years ago, and I used no creams or medications.

stretch marks are actual "tears" in the skin itll take time for them to go, moistureize your skin to prevent any more

I have a stretch mark on my knee as well. I honestly have no idea where I got it. But as I'm growing it's starting to disappear. I think the stretch marks appear as your grow. I'm not exactly sure. Retin-A helps.

I have them on my arms, boobs, knees (front and back), and hips. Cocoa butter GREATLY faded them for me, along with time, so now they're not as noticeable. The ones on the back of my knees used to be a lot worse.

I'm certainly not an expert on this topic, but here in Australia I've heard a lot of testimonies about Bio-Oil (a skincare oil) which apparently works very well when it comes to accelerating the fading of scars and stretch marks. You might want to read up on it and find some reliable scientific backing on it before making a purchase, after all, you don't want to waste your money. If you're really concerned I would suggest seeing a doctor and getting a referral to a dermatologist, which is a skin specialist. They might be able to tell you the cause of the stretch marks. A common catalyst for stretch marks is evident in the name, stretching. If you've either lost or gained a lot of weight recently that could be to blame, but don't worry too much about that since you're more concerned about getting rid of them rather than the cause.
