Hey I was wondering if any of you are from the UK and if any know some particular places I can go with my friend, WITHOUT MY PARENTS OR GUARDIANS to get help with cutting in MIDDLESBROUGH. I am 14 and everywhere says go to the GP with a parent and I can't. I cut really really bad and I know I need help but will not go with my parents ever. So is there any places in Middlesbrough?

You can go to A&E but they have no legal obligation not to tell your parents, as you are under the age of 16 they do have to tell your parents. You can however request confidentiality when you're there, but your parents will find out most of the time. It's the sad thing about being under the age of 16. If you have self harmed really bad, you do need to seek a professional because you won't be able to give yourself the treatment you may need. I do suggest you go to the GP or the hospital, I know you're scared but sometimes these things need to happen. I'm sorry you're in this situation.

Within some schools in England, they will have a self harm support group that is completely confidential, so your parents won't find out. They also have counselors attached within the school. Request a meeting with the one at your school and see if they can give you any advice or set you up with some counseling sessions to help you with ways to stop.

As long as you are not suicidal, your school shouldn't contact your parents as they still have to bide by the patient confidentiality laws.

It may seem daunting and scary doing it through school, thinking that everyone is going to find out but if you just briefly explain to your teachers or hand the note that you are given, saying that you've been to see the counselor, they won't ask for any details unless you want to give some.
