What do you think the world would be like if pure straight and gay didn't exist and everyone was bisexual instead?

To be quite honest, society wise the world would be a lot better, the rest would be the same.

Yeah I think it would be better and it would be far easier if there was just one sexuality.

Society would be 100 times better. But wouldn't it make people a lot more sexually active? Theres already a ton of teen pregnancies. We don't want any more things on top of it like aids.
its just my opinion but I think most gay people are bi. Because a boy and a girl is still a natural process thats wired into the human system. (I dont know how to make it sound non homophobic) I think so anyway.

Contrary to popular belief, bisexual people don't necessarily have twice the amount of sex as gay or straight people. Just because you have cake and pie available doesn't mean you shove both of them in your mouth at once so you're having two helpings of dessert rather than one. It just means there's always cake and pie in the fridge for you to choose from.

Not to mention that logic makes no sense given that pregnancy can only happen with straight couples and teen pregnancy is the result of being uninformed about protection or being an idiot. Which is unavoidable anyway.

Ideally, maybe it would be better. But discrimination always exists. You'd probably just end up with people discriminating against men who like men more than women even though technically they like both.

Sexuality is attraction, not capability. Just because someone can or is "supposed to"(if you honestly think that) have to sex with the opposite sex, doesn't mean they want to or will.

One thing is for sure, there would be a lot less people around. ;)

That could never happen though. And while I think it'd be nice, it just makes the life I'm living now seem worse by comparison.

I personally believe everyone already has the capacity to be attracted to both sexes, just in very different amounts. It's hard to test or prove this though, because most people exclusively gay or exclusively straight will either lie to themselves, ignore that one person in the world who defies their sexual preference, or just be so close-minded it never occurs to them. But I believe there is at least one person of each sex a person is attracted to.

Anyway, everyone was truly bisexual? Oh, what a world. You'd have a chance with everyone! No more fawning over straight girls! But then the guys would become competition for the gay girls. Hmm. That's quite a dilemma.

People may be more accepting but some studies say that humans are already inherantly bisexual but due to our upbringing and society we never realize it.

uhhh i mean its basically like that already, i think everyone's somewhere on the spectrum and even if you think you're 100% straight or 100% gay theres probably SOME subconscious attraction to the opposite/same sex it's just probably not much

It'd be so much fun!

I think the OP meant : "if everybody equally liked the opposite gender and their own 50% each"

Technically, Bisexuality (disregarding asexuality) is the only thing that exists. There is no such thing as 100% Straight or 100% Gay.

Yes! I was going to say that here but I thought it wouldn't be regarded well. Somebody else with the same thoughts on this :D.

Actually, this already true. Unless there is a sexist that absolutely hates the other or same gender.

I agree, since it's impossible to make sexuality that definitive as to say "100%" this or that. One's relationships may be 100% one way or the other, since that's obviously more quantifiable. However, this is also overlooking other sexualities. Bisexuality implies an attraction to cisgender men and women (although I suppose the "cisgender" part is up to interpretation); there are other genders, and thus, other sexualities (i.e., pansexuality, for example). Not to mention sexualities that get a little more specific, i.e., demisexuality.

it might not change all that much. I guess you could be bi and not really be sexually active with your own gender, right?

Some thinks it does. Live in a town, soon you will find out people are not who they say to be.

Absolutely nothing, ya sure people would like both sexes but you have to remember we are all still attracted to certain people and the crush cycle would continue. Could be nice though, nobody would feel so alone minority wise and people could have chances based on who they are personality wise. So could be interesting I guess.

I'm sure few people are purely, 100%, without a doubt gay or straight in the first place. Human sexuality is a spectrum, and attraction is a very complex thing that varies with the person.

Yeah the world would be a lot better, a lot less hate.

I'm not sure I totally agree with "It's already true". I am not attracted to guys in the very slightest, however being raised in a place where everyone is straight and everyone assumes you're straight and talks about your wedding when you marry the opposite sex, I, without realizing it, will think about guys sometimes and getting a boyfriend. Not in any sort of romantic sense but rather a practical one. It's kind of confusing, I guess I'm just still working on accepting my sexuality.

I am identifying as bisexual and I think if we were all bisexual then things may be the same, maybe less hate on both sides an maybe less children, but more happiness and choice. No more shame for being different.

Me too, I am bisexual I think, and if I told my family, they wouldn't like that. Plus they all want me to marry and have kids since I'm the only child. To be honest I don't think I could marry and have a family one day, I would love to but am not sure.
