Sure, I didn't see much of the 80's, 90's, 50's, 60's or 70's, but I'm so overwhelmed with nostalgia for those times it's given me a bit of depression.

Ideas to help me?

Appreciate right now some more. Anticipate the release of something new.

Nostalgia for a time you never experienced is typically a sign that there are things going on currently you'd like to escape. Makes sense.

The best thing to do is try to figure out what it is that's currently unsettling you and address that directly.

You are seeing the past in an optimistic light; you are probably not comfortable with the present and/or the future because the past holds something that is not here anymore, or seems to not be. Or there is stuff now that was not there in the past. Either way you need to look at how you are approaching the past, present and future. A tip for help is to try and now dwell on the past, but be in the now. Enjoy what is here in front of you, not what is gone. Spending energy on what is lost/gone is not a good idea- you'll find that things here in the present will be gone after a while and you didn't invest that energy in them, when you had the chance to.
Hope this helps!
