View Full Version : US police kill 107-year-old suspect in home shootout!

A 107-year-old man was killed in a shootout with police, after he held two people at gunpoint in the US state of Arkansas, authorities said.

Officers were called to a home in the city of Pine Bluff following reports that the man, named as Monroe Isadore, was threatening the two with a gun.

The pair were brought to safety before police tried to arrest the suspect, who was locked inside a bedroom.

Officers shot Isadore when he opened fire on them as they entered the room.

No police were injured in the incident.

Officials said they had tried to negotiate with Isadore but were forced to call reinforcements after he shot at them through the closed bedroom door.

They then released gas into the room and tried to open the door. The suspect began shooting and officers returned fire, killing him.

The coroner later confirmed Isadore's age.

Damn, this isn't what I expected to read after I saw the title. I thought the 107-year-old would've been a bystander.
I really wonder why the fuck he did this.

He wasnt really murdered. It was mire like killed in self defense. He was shooting at police officers.

well may be he was frustrated or just angry.... a mental disorder could be reason too... i just sad thats he only be stopped be getting shoot

the cops had ful right to shot, he could have shot the cops and massacred the town! mental disorders only matter in court

This is too entertaining.

He was a hundred fucking years old, do you really think he would have had enough in him to go and perform a big shooting spree like the Columbine kids or Adam Lanza? The cops were fully in their rights to shoot, yes.

he easily could have pulled the trigger, stop stereotyping, anyone with a gun, five year old girl or 100 year old man is a lethal threat and if armed police are there, leathel force is expected.

it's unfortunate if the person is mentally ill or drunk etc etc but people can not be shot because of that
