So when i first came out there was a friend of mine who had spent moths before laughing about people being gay. for a few weeks after i found out he was distant and not his usual self around me but now he's one of my closest friends and he talks about my boyfriends and tells me what he thinks about them and he sends me all these videos of pro LGBT people offering support and he asks for me to send him short films made by LGBT directors. So my question is have any of you had a friend who surprised you after you came out?

I was quite scared to come out to my two best guy friends. One of them because I had never come out to anyone before and I didn't know what to expect, but the other being because he's a very religious person and has a very religious family. They are Catholic and as we all know, Catholicism and homosexuality don't always mix very well. After I came out to him we became a lot closer than we were already (and he was already one of my closest friends). He completely accepted me for who I am eventually when his family found out they did too. They're great people, glad I have them in my life.
