Tamu Massif, a large mass of rock in the North-West Pacific ocean, has been confirmed to be of volcanic origin by scientists on 3 days ago. If the scientists are correct, this makes this single volcano many times larger than Mauna Loa, and half as large by area of Olympus Mons on Mars, the largest volcano in the solar system.
If the volcano were to be put on the British Ilses, it would cover both easily.
