Age Requirements For Mods

I just was just curious as to whether or not there were any age requirements for becoming a mod or how long you must have been on the forums etc.

I'm not interested in becoming a mod...yet ;)

There aren't any. There are mods who are 13, 14, and there are also ones 17, 18. As for how long you need to be on the forums, 3 months.

In order to apply for this position you must have been a member for at least 3 months and have above 100 posts

No, there aren't any age requirements to be on staff here. The only "requirement" for a moderator to apply (when there's an opening) is that they've been here for three months and have over 100 posts.

I became a mod when I was 14, if you've been on for three months and probably been a very active member then you have a good chance of getting a position!

So as long as you're between the age of 13 & 19 upon the date of joining you have a good chance. Even if you have had prior warnings you still have a good chance.

As other people have said here there isn't an age limit in place really, it's more based on maturity. If you can show that you're mature as a 13 or 14 year old and you meet the other criteria then there's a good chance you get the job.

I don't think that counts in much, but being regularly active would work...a few hours a day, maybe

I was hired in 2011, making me 14 at the time. If you demonstrate that you qualify for a job, you have a good chance of being offered it, regardless of age.

We don't like "ornament moderators": moderators who only have a title and do little to no work. They have been here in the past, and are not on the staff for much longer after it becomes a problem.
Basically you have to do the work to stay here. If everybody does their share, there is no problem.
