Hi :)
First off, thanks for taking the time to click this thread and read it!

Anyways, I'd like a bit of help for a project I have to do in English class. I need to find a quotation by a famous American, past or present, that's inspirational to me and my peers (profanity free of course). Then I need to create a poster as an artistic representation of the quote (it has to have the quote written on it as well as the author, possibly a picture of them too). Then I have to write a short biography of the author and talk about their contribution to American culture/history/society. I thought since you guys are my peers, you could help me out. Do you have a quote by a famous American that is inspirational or means something to you? If you do, tell me! Thanks! :)

I am going to feel bad after this one.

"I am proud to be an American. Because an American can eat anything on the face of the earth as long as he has two pieces of bread" - Bill Cosby

In all seriousness.

I'm not American, but I'd I love Abraham and Obama quotes. I'd recommend using them, although they may be used by lots of kids in your class. They also easily fit ALL criteras.

Hope it helps!

Thank you! It's funny, I didn't even think of using a Lincoln quote...I feel like a bad American. Your fist qoute made me laugh by the way, but I don't think I'm going to use that one :D
