well my upcoming paycheck i have decided to get another ipod after my old teacher broke my old one and im having trouble figuering out if i should get a regular ipod nano or an ipod touch? of course i can only afford and 8 gb:P:);):D

hm, how much are 8gb ipods? and how many songs does it hold? also..if you get a new ipod can u import the old library onto the new ipod?

8gb is around 4000-5000 songs.

It depends on the quality you store them at, what format they're in, and how long they are. Music capacity is based on 4 minutes per song and 128-Kbps AAC encoding.
If you just want it for music get the Nano. If you want to play videos get the Touch. You will need to change out your videos pretty often and compress them a bit due to the low storage capacity. Remember, it's 8GB before formatting, so you really get closer to 7.5GB. If you have the money for a Touch but want an iPod for music get the Classic. It has a massive storage capacity ("20,000 songs" compared to "2,000 songs") and the longest battery life, and it's alright for video, too.

well if you want software updates it costs 299.99 and i dont have my old library anymore but if i did i could and it holds like 2000 songs:)
