Hey guys, so for the past week or so I've been unable to use the chatroom because java is refusing to let it load no matter what solutions I use, even ones that have worked in the past aren't working now, and changing security settings makes no difference what so ever.
I was wondering if it would be practical to replace the current chat with something flash based, not necessarily now but maybe some time in the future.

I'm not going to just say no, however I can guarantee you that it won't happen for another ~ year or so because we have this chat paid for. However, I will say that we are pretty happy with the chat that we have now, and we it just doesn't make sense to change something we're content with just for one person. I'm sure your settings can be fixed, I can't tell you what to do though. Since it at one point did work, it has to be a new setting issue.
Also, that particular chat you linked isn't available for our version of vbulletin.

Seeing as how you are in the chat room at this very moment, I'm assuming this issue was resolved.

Plus I think VT once used a flashchat and due to the number of members the chat couldn't handle that and kept becoming faulty. I don't know which chat we used so I can't be sure we'd have the same issues again but its something to add.
Plus as Val said, that isn't available in the VB version we use.

Yeah VT had flash up until early-mid 2010. It was complete shit. Constant crashing and lagging.
