Hi, I'm 16 and the other day I started getting dull pains in the chest. They have been occurring 3 or 4 times a day NOT when I was exercising. I am quite active; I walk 2 miles to school and then two miles back each day, I play tennis at least once a week and P.E. I am skinny, but I don't have the best diet, but now I'm eating really healthy by not drinking fizzy drinks or eating chocolate and eating wholemeal things as well as vegetables. But before this change I was probably having 1 coke and one chocolate bar a day. I've never had these pains before when exercising and I don't get out of breath quickly when I exercise. I have an average BPM (75).

I'm really worried that I have angina but I don't see how it's possible, especially someone as young as me? Has anyone else had this? Is this just muscle pain? (not the heart muscle I mean the surrounding muscle) :what:

I often got chest pains a couple of years ago but I eventually stopped getting them, that being said, since then I've become more medically aware and I'd definitely recommend going for a checkup with your local general practitioner. Even if he/she says it's nothing, at least you have peace of mind, if there is something there it's best they know so you can begin treatment.

I've gotten severe chest pains since I was nine. I'm my case it's gas.

Angina symptoms include:

Chest pain or discomfort
Pain in your arms, neck, jaw, shoulder or back accompanying chest pain
Nausea
Fatigue
Shortness of breath
Sweating
Dizziness

If you think you have something that might kill you, see a doctor asap needless to say.

Hi guys quick update...

The pains went away weeks ago, but I'm still going to see a doctor just to make sure. I'm continuing to eat healthily and I'm thinking it might be gas or the fact that a few days before I was lifting heavy objects helping my neighbour move out. Thanks for your support!
