It has perplexed me for a long time now that there is this war between people about which is better, pc or console.
What is you opinion on this matter, say what you play on and why you like it more.:)

Uhm, i prefer the PS3 but only because most of friends play there. If we compare PC and consoles, usualy PCs have better graphics, games run more smoothly and the FPS are higher. That being said i think consoles controls are better for most of the games.
I wont talk about the community because it differs from game to game.

PC will always be superior, and that is coming from a mostly console gamer.

I know that PC is a lot better, but I have always been on My 360 because that's where all my friends are at. I grew up with consoles.

PC is better, console is cheaper. What you pay is what you get.

On consoles, you know you'll get the same experience everywhere: if you are given or purchase a game, you don't need to mess with drivers or other things that sometimes don't work. On a console, the manufacturer -- be that Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, etc. -- won't let you ship if there are big issues("A-bugs").
I prefer consoles, simply because I don't like using keyboard and mouse to play. The best controllers, IMHO, are the Dualshocks. They just work for me.

PC If you know how and can get the parts you can build one so that's cool. Guess the same could be said for Consoles but that sounds like confusing biz

PC,no console

I play on both, but there is no question over the fact that a PC blows any console out of the water on every level. The only reason to own consoles is to play their exclusives.

But really PC is master race.

I play consoles almost exclusively, but there's no doubt in my mind that PCs are superior in almost every way. Good PCs, anyways.

I like console more, but I believe in the PC master race. http://images.vg247.com/current//2012/03/PC-Gaming-Master-Race.jpg
I am filthy peasant console gamer.

PS3 sucks compared to Ps2 and PS, because they no longer garner niche video game developers like they used to.
So, I became a member of the PC master race.

Even though I'm a console gamer, I'd have to go with PC.
I just prefer to play on console because its cheaper and I dont have to worry about specs like I have to do for a PC.

Personally I find console better for most games, but I prefer simulation games on computer (The Sims, Minecraft, that kind of thing; but I don't play those much anymore)

PC is superior if you have the money for a good PC, If you don't then consoles are the way to go cause its basically a cheap PC that only plays games but you get good frame rate.

I personally use console instead of PC, mainly because my computer will never be able to run any modern game without an absurd amount of lag, even on the lowest settings. However, I do like the fact that you can modify games on the PC with little effort, as opposed to modifying the operating system of a console and possibly breaking something, if you don't know what you're doing.

If I had a better PC, there'd be no question that I would be a PC player almost exclusively. However, because I only have my laptop, I still get a current gen console, or try to. It's cheaper to get one and get the games then to have to worry about upgrading a PC to meet the changing benchmarks. Also console has the convenience of plug in, turn on, play.
PC is my preferred, but due to finances and convenience, most big games I end up playing on my 360.

I'd say PC for shooter games coz it's so much easier to aim but console for other games.

Most of the games I play are sim games or simple adventure games on my PC. I have an xbox but hardly ever use it anymore.

PC is unarguably better spec and graphics wise, but console provides a more accessible experience. I personally prefer pc for most games, but do still own a 360 and play it often.

I'd always pick PC over a console due to how much more can be do through it.
I consider a PC more of an investment than a purchase. You can learn skills using your pc that can be used later on in life, coding, graphic design. A console is souly for gaming (although some are turning into more of a home entertainment system with netflix and such).
BUT if i had to pick a console (xbox vs ps3) i'd have to go with xbox. I grew up with it since about the ages of 6 / 7 and it's got halo! if that's not enough i don't know what is :D.
I would pick n64 or gamecube as best console because of ocarina of time, majora's mask, super mario sunshine and all those epic games :D

I like playing on my console, but honestly, you get more options and more things to do on PC. On Sims 3, you can do more since you have a mouse and it's quicker to use the mouse than the curser on the Xbox/PS3. On MineCraft, it's easier to use the mouse for things and you can mod the game.

I'd say console, and here's why: You buy the game. You pop it in. You play without installing for an eternity (with a few exceptions, like GTA V) and struggle with serial numbers and all the crap that follows.
I know PC offers better graphics and all that, but I don't care. ;)

I prefer PC, but don't mind consoles. PC's are the ultimate gaming medium. You can build a PC that's much powerful then any current console, even one that will be better then future gen consoles. Consoles hardware can't be upgraded, and there aren't any mods for games.

1 year old $500 PC: ~10 fps on latest games with medium graphics settings
8 years old console: 30 - 60 fps on latest games with the equivalent of medium graphics settings

PC's are better in terms of smoothness but console controls are generally better. That being said, I'm not sure.

I ordinarily don't play games a whole lot, but I've been playing Minecraft, as well as GTA:SA and GTA:V a bit lately. The first two I play exclusively on my PC, and it will be the same situation when Rockstar releases GTA:V for PCs.
