You look normal not ugly in your avatar. To be honest, people's perception of beauty changes as they get older. Look at how girls love Benedict Cumberbatch and he is often described as being ugly but beautiful. Personality and confidence is more important. (Looks fade but personality is forever).

You're definitely not ugly. Most people believe that a lot of people are more beautiful than they are. I guess it comes from watching your self brush your teeth in the mirror everyday. I think I'm pretty scary then. :)

I've had girls openly tell me I'm ugly, doesn't bother me much. Everyone has their opinions and preferences when it comes to looks but one thing's for certain, you can't please everyone. Don't worry about it.
