For those of you who are swimmers out there, do you have a thing about sweating and heating up? Like I used to do Taekwondo, and sparring made me really sweaty and hot inside the uniform. Now after I did swimming for a couple of years, I feel very uncomfortable with any sports that involve going outside/heat/sweat. It's just that I'm used to the water cooling my body down while I workout. It's like doing "land sports" makes me tired quicker.

I enjoy swimming and I play squash as well, but I personally don't mind feeling hot/sweaty when I've been playing squash because it indicates to me that I've actually done some work. In fact I like the feeling that I've worked out so I really don't mind!

Dude I play mainly soccer as a regular sport I belong to the travel team of my city, but I like swimming too, the thing is I don't sweat at all, so I don't have that feeling of being sweaty playing soccer and let me tell you more I have conditioning 2 hours per week.

Not only is swimming easy on the body, it's a great way to get fit. Swimming recruits all the major muscle groups, including the shoulders, back, abdominals, legs, hips, and glutesand because water affords 12 times the resistance as air in every direction, it really helps to build strength, she says.

I am on both a swim team and compete in karate and and run and have found that not only does swimming not affect these sports in a negative way but has helped me become better and I believe a good land workout and a good water workout compliment each other.

There's no ground impact when you swim, and so you protect the joints from stress and strain. In fact, the Arthritis Foundation strongly recommends swimming and water activities for this reason, so much so that they sponsor water classes all over the country

When I do a physical activity, I like the feeling of being sweaty...it's a proof of how hard I was.;)

I like swimming but dont mind a sweat - in the gym but its nice to shower and cool down

its best to stay hydrated and drink water - as well as not overdoing it in the heat.

not that we have much of a problem in Scotland

Swimming is a good fitness choice for just about everyone, it is a good, whole-body exercise. Not only is swimming easy on the body, it's a great way to get fit.
