How old are you? And well, this is the hard stage of puberty when some guys start growing faster than others. The ones that "stay" small might as well grow slowly and be high (or average) later and some grow but they are not too high. This is nothing to worry about (even if you think about it). We know a lot of people in life, high and small, and it's something natural. People can be high or small, it's just that teens like to talk about their growth spurt and all this, and that's when you deal with trouble.

If you are small they will joke around with you for being, the same as being tall (like me). The only thing to do, besides waiting (if you are still to grow) or accepting how you are (if you are too old then), is to be you and learn to handle with jokes. I tend to hang out with a lot of small friends, and they joke about their height themselves. . . they have lots of friends, they have girlfriends and they are not disrespected. It's just that while you are with people, you can't expect to receive good words everytime.

As for now, you can only say your growing rate is not as high. Tell them: "Good thing you are already growing, but I'll see you there soon!"

you have plenty of time left to grow in height. some males don't reach their peek height until their early 20's.

13 huh? I think when I was 13 I was a bit , just a bit, taller than you. . . and I am 6' now. Aaaand, I was the tallest in the class. . . so I bet your friends are too tall then XD

i swear all the 7th graders and 8th graders are like 5 foot and I'm 5 6, there's nothing wrong with you stop worrying

Being short is better than being too tall. xP Sure I'm a girl so I see it a bit differently, but I was always the tall one. At 10 years old I went into 6th grade and hit 5'7". I was even taller than some of my teachers, which was terrible. Kids would actually come up to me and ask if I'd been held back a few years because I looked too old to be there (which was just mortifying). I'm nearly 5'10" now and had to wait.... well until just last year, when I was 15, for everyone to finally be around the same height as me, and all of my girl friends are still shorter. Short is good at 13, it means you've still got room to grow without becoming "the freakishly tall kid". xP

If it bothers you that your friends make fun of you for being short, maybe make fun of them for being tall (in a joking manner, of course). Some of the things I used to get from my friends were the typical "How's the weather up there?" and "let me know when it rains, will ya?" (to which I just responded, "Sure, as long as you let me know when the sprinklers come on"). It gives you a response, and makes the jokes less bothersome.

And of course the bottom line: just try to accept yourself. You're the only you you've got. (cheesy, sorry)

well I always used to be and still am the tall kid im well over 6 ft.

its normal to be small because you will eventually grow and have lots of growth spurts

You are perfectly normal compared to others where I live. I'm in high school and I know people that are the same hight as you.
