Hi, if anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. So basically, this is what happens. I put gel deodorant/antiperspirant in the morning before school. I don't know why, but in the school I'm freezing because of the air conditioners but my underarms feel very hot. After 3rd or so period, my shirt has visible sweat stains that are huge. I go to the bathroom to try and cleanup, but nothing can be done, really. Has anyone ever gone through this? What's the best way to stop it? I hate walking around all day with my arms down, and I try to avoid questions also. Thanks.

if its a really big problem for you then you might want to consider seeing a doctor about it, antiperspirant doesn't actually stop you from sweating, it just absorbs the sweat until it can't anymore, personally i also find gel deodorants to be useless at it, maybe try a different deodorant.

Well, Ben - is kinda wrong. Anitperspirants do actually help you stop sweating, that is where the "anti" come in. Deoderants only try to cover up the smell. Look for a antiperspirant with the highest level of aluminum zirconium (reading my label), as that is what blocks the sweat pores under your arm. I asked my uncle about this, as I sweat bad, and he is really cool. He bought me some arm&hammer ultramax solid, and told me to put it on after my shower at night, and then again in the morning. His advise worked great!

The problem is, I don't want to buy anything (Or can... for that matter). Is there any other way to stop this, other than wearing 2 shirts? I do have some Dry fit sport shirts, but... I don't wanna wear them all year long. (Or at least until it gets cold here... But knowing Texas, it won't get cold until like December.)

Bring your deodorant with you, and try to keep tissues between your pits.
If you really wanna waste your time and money, you could go to a dr about it.

The antiperspirant is the better option. You can use it just like deodorant, plus it costs roughly the same amount as deodorant. Try switching from gel to the dry/powder deodorant. You may have better results. (:

Hi you should try Perspirex. I have some friends that bought it and they were just like you, but after a few days, no stains on their shirts. Btw, i'm gonna buy me one as i have this problem, too. (it may be a little expensive, but effective)

Thank you for your replies. I am almost done with my gel one, I'll try the dry kind then.

i had the same problem. try different deodorants. there's some with more zinc oxide like perspirex that should solve your problem if your problem is really bad. im not completely sure, but i think hormones can also have an effect on excessive sweating.

Okay guys, I think I need a bit more help.
So this weekend I did a test. I wore a white t shirt and I rode my bike for almost 7 miles at a moderate speed. When I got home, I rushed to the bathroom and I looked at my underarms... They were completely dry, like I didn't even excersice at all! (And I was pretty sweaty)
So it looks like this problem only happens when I'm at school... Let's see what happens tomorrow.

My dad has the same problem. There's a medication you can take for it. Ask your doctor.
It's that simple :).
