When I saw this story I didn't believe it. But it's true. And horrifying. Check it out:

I know lots of Mormons, Evengelical Christians, and Catholics. They are, in general, some of the best people on this planet. Very well behaved, kind, and accepting. Most of my friends fit into one of these categories; they are not extremists! America's Department of Defense has put them on the same level as Al Qaeda! This is the left's "political correctness" and social engineering run amoke.

Actually, it's not. While there are many good Catholics, Mormons, and Evangelicals in the world (my family being majority Catholic and all around good people), there will always be extremists lurking in the shadows. What the Pentagon has apparently done is paint with a wide brush, which is wrong. So it's not the left trying to be PC, it's actually the Pentagon overreaching its borders.
The last time I checked, most religions and ideologies have their extremist side. You're quick to point out Muslim extremists yet very reluctant to point out Catholic and Evangelical extremists? Rare though they may be, they still exist and I've met a few in my time.

If you asked anyone in northern Ireland they would certainly agree that Catholics can have extremists elements.

You can't base your views of a whole religion on the actions of a few people. There were Buddhists involved in the genocide of Rohingya Muslims, but violence is totally against Buddhism (and most religions) and I would be insulted if someone said that all Buddhists or people who follow Buddhist teachings are the same as them. They can't say that all Evangelicals, Mormons, and Catholics are extremists based on the actions of a few people.
If you asked anyone in northern Ireland they would certainly agree that Catholics can have extremists elements.
That may be true, but the same is true if you ask people in ROI about Protestants, there will always be those extremists that will try to hide behind their religion, such as the current IRA. However most Catholics in Ireland strongly disagree with the IRA and their methods. Relations are hugely improving between the north and south.
I do agree that some Catholics can be extreme as can people from all other religions.

I give up, I'm moving it Canada.
One of my best friends at school is a Mormon. I've gone to church with her. Those people are the kindest, most selfless people ever. They have a few crazy ideas, and a bit of a crazy history, but seriously?
There are Christian extremists, just like there are Muslim extremists, and atheist extremists, and every other type of group extremists. There are nut jobs in every belief. But classifying that many people, based on the actions of a handful? That's not good.

Dude, who's in charge of the Pentagon right now? Obama, the most liberal president in our history,'s defense secretary. It is social engineering. They are attempting to paint these entire religious groups as extremists.
I'm quick to point out the Muslims who are extremists because their fundamentalism becomes a rather obvious fact when they hijack airliners and crash them into skyscrapers. Are there some groups of extremist Mormons, Christians, or Catholics who are threats to national security that we should be concerned about?

Dude, can you imagine if somebody said this same thing except they replaced "northern Ireland" with "Israel" and "Catholics" with "Muslims"? They would be attacked to the end of the earth.
What you just did here is called stereotyping, if it were accurate.
I give up, I'm moving it Canada.
Yeah, I feel the same way. But see the thing about Canada is, their success is pretty much contingent on having a strong ally to the south :(

Same here. I've been going to Church with my friend who's evangelical Christian; those people are some of the nicest I've ever met!

Could you imagine if it had been all Muslims they'd classified as extremists? The media would be all over it, and all hell would break lose, with protests and such. But of course, it doesn't promote the liberal agenda, so the only outlet to devote a bit of time is Fox News.
please note: foxnews
Yes there the only major news outlet to place airtime covering this obviously important story. Kinda tells you something about the rest of the media, ain't it?

Keep using 9/11 as a crutch for your bigotry towards Muslims. You clearly know nothing of what extremism entails.

Somebody's been stereotyping . That is less then 1% of the world Muslim population. They just scream to be heard. Islam is one of the peaceful religions, and the Imams have declared them heretics, which the Vatican for example won't do for it's extremists.

Bigotry? You think I'm being bigoted towards Islamists? Read what I said again. I'm talking about fundamentalists here.
The fundamentalists have not just perpetrated 9/11, but also the majority of the terroirt attacks in the US.
Like I've said, I hold nothing against a real Muslim but fundamentalists are some of the most evil of people on this planet.

I'm not stereotyping. Read what I said again. Why can't I talk about the most evil of people on this planet in a negative light without somebody accusing me of that?
I don't know how you'd get stats on it, but again I have nothing against real Muslims. I'm aware that there extremist factioins represent a small potion of total adherants. The fundamentalists don't "scream to be heard"...they simply think they're doing the world a favor by killing westerners because that's what their messed up beliefs tells them.
But that's not what this is about: What do you think of the Pemtagon calling Catholics, Mormons, and evalngelicals extremists?

You really shouldn't bash on all muslims just because of Al-Qaeda, I know a bunch of muslims and they have done absolutely nothing bad to me in any way shape or form. Plus, there are always some radicals of any religion that I'm pretty sure assassinate other people at some point. Catholics have done that throughout history.

What they do is kill westerners and their supporters, essentially anyone they deem an infidel. That is like screaming "kill all westerners" to the western media, and the media hears only them. The western media portrays it as if all Muslims are extremists, while in fact they are not.
But that's not what this is about: What do you think of the Pemtagon calling Catholics, Mormons, and evalngelicals extremists?
I think it is stupid. When they think Catholic, do they think of a teenage boy who goes to church regularly and does good deeds or they think about someone who hates everything what is not approved by the Catholic Church, but that someone is actively verbally and physically assaulting those who don't adhere to the Catholic Church, or are not even Christians. There is a really small percent of Christian extremists, or extremists of any other religion.

I am not bashing all Muslims! Can you read?
So you agree with the Pentagon doing this? It's no different then somebody calling all Muslims "extremists"!
What they do is kill westerners and their supporters, essentially anyone they deem an infidel. That is like screaming "kill all westerners" to the western media, and the media hears only them. The western media portrays it as if all Muslims are extremists, while in fact they are not.
I'm sure what channel you've been watching. The American media goes out of it's way to ensure all Muslims aren't labeled as terrorists. For example, after the Boston Marthon bombing, they tried to label the bomber as a right wing gun-nut with connections to the Tea Party (oh, no, not the Tea Party!) instead of the Chechen Muslim he really was.
Glad you agree this is stupid.

This is why religions look like shit these days. It's extremists that, against the actual teaching of their religions, go out and do horrific acts, and rally under the banner of their religion, as if it gives them a justified reason. It makes me sick.
