It seems that most of us have taken at least one naked picture of ourselves and I assume have sent it to someone.
My friend that ive messed around with wants to do this with me. as much as i like him, im kinda afraid to do this.
for anyone thats done this, did you end up regretting it? did it get out? did you let your face be seen in the picture? Im thinking if i decided to actually do this, id never put my face in the picture.
is sharing pictures like this ok?

Personally, I would never sent a nude picture of myself through the Internet to someone. It's just something I'm really not comfortable to do. I guess it's entirely your choice and if you trust your friend a lot, go for it, but think about it a lot before doing it.

I read someplace that sending/receiving pics of minors, even if it's of yourself, is the same as trading child porn and is therefore very illegal.

This, if i were you would not do it. So many things can go wrong.

I did it once to my girlfriend. I didn't include my face for obvious reasons.
Me doing that went against my instincts. for the next week, I was freaking out because I thought the FBI was gonna show up at my house...
My advise is to not do it. It really has no positive outcome most of the time.

I haven't, but don't. You'll more than likely end up deeply regretting it somehow.

I have never sent naked pictures of myself because it's too risky and I'm not very comfortable doing that kind of stuff. Not to mention, it's illegal if you're a minor.

Bad idea for so many reasons - avoid it!!

I wouldn't do because his parent could go through his phone and see that it was sent from you and then you will get in trouble. So my advice is not to do it.

dude I wouldn't do it because once you post it on the inet, its there for everyone to see! and you cant really take it back. if you want to show someone you naked, just do it personally.

Its a bad idea, even text and snapchat. If the person suddenly turns on you, they can put it all over the internet. Future employers will find out, etc.

I think you are right in not sending a pic. I don't do pics at all either. Just because you don't post it on the internet who knows what Your friend might do a year from now.

Don't do it! Sending pics of minors, even yourself, is illegal. In addition you can get others in big trouble if the person you send to ever sends it around. Everyone who doesn't delete it right away can be arrested and they *will* take the phones for evidence the minute anyone tells an adult. It's not right but that's will happen.
If you wanna mess around do it in person and in private.

It's a stupid idea. If you can't do it in person, there's a reason.

As soon as you've sent it you will be paranoid about people finding out. I wouldn't if I were you, what if one of his friends was messing around with the phone and found the pic?

as long as your face isn't in there, I would say go for it. If you are nervous, ask him to send his first.
Personally I think there isn't that much of a risk if your face isn't visible.

Even if the person you are sending it too says that nothing will ever happen don't do it! Once the relationship has ended that picture could end up anywhere.

Don't do it. Firstly certainly here in Australia, the US and many other countries I know of it's highly illegal and secondly, things ever go sour with this friend? Yeah. He may say he "totally delete it afterwards" but once you hand this things over you have no control over that at all.

A lot of trust and stuff must be going on. I'd say if the relationship started out IRL, take cautions, but if it's just some internet fling then don't it at all. I have never sent a pic of myself (though someone who isn't me has recieved quite a few.)

I don't really think this is an appropriate discussion to have on a help & advice site.
I think you know trading these nude pictures is wrong, and as the majority of people have mentioned in this thread, this will not have a positive outcome, and is definitely not worth the unnecessary risk.
I'm locking this, and moving it to the Puberty 101 Archives.
