Havent really been paying attention to either one. Im just gonna stick with the PS4, cause ive been in that series for the past 5-6 years. Love the free internet/built in blue ray player.

I'll get the PS4. I was an Xbox fanboy but the PS4 seems so much better, I don't want an entertainment console (xbox one) I want a gaming console.

I've been an Xbox fan for the past 4 years, but I'm gonna get the PS4. I can't choose which one is better as they both have their pros and cons.

One thing I hope PS4 steals from Xbox 1 is the ability to play music while playing video games and I hope PS4 has great multitasking. It's always annoying that I can't do stuff with my console while playing video games, it always prompts me to quit the game before I can do certain stuff. So hopefully I can surf the web or change settings without quitting my game.

I can't speak for everyone and when I entered into the next gen console race I kept an open mind, I really did. However Microsoft has shown its true colours with regards to customer support and giving them what they want.

I'll give examples:

They implemented DMR requirements that even pre-reveal many Xbox fans said they didn't want.

They put a "used game policy" in which its hard to transfer games among friends.

They've added a lot of restrictions.

Then when they found out their pre order sales were 1 for every 4 playsation (it was something close to this) pre orders they panicked and had to make changes or the console was going to be a flop. They knew going into the reveal that no one wanted such DMR requirements but they added them anyway then when they found out no one was pre-ordering they changed their policy all in pursuit of money.

Not giving what the fans wanted because they knew the fans wouldn't want this, the internet was flying with leaked rumours about this and nobody wanted these restrictions. It was only when they found out the console wasn't going to sell well at all they decided to change them.

Sorry but how is the a fair price for the UK? It actually just costs less to buy in the UK than it does in the USA.

Overall Microsoft have shown their true colours and how greedy they really are, they aren't in touch with the fan base or they wouldn't have launched with those requirements and it was only after Amazon and other online reatilaers released information stating the pre-order sales, Microsoft changed policy.

Many people want a fair priced, good spec, and a company that is in touch with the market and the consumers themselves and that is the Sony, PS4.

Watch this entire video, especially the ending and what the guy on stage says is completely true.

Im getting the xbox one.

Im saving up for it im just over halfway there, I wont be getting it on launch though im going to wait till early next year when there are more games plus i will get money for christmas and my birthday aswell

PS4, it is probably the only next-gen console I am going to get since the price is affordable and it gets the job done greatly. I will miss some Xbox exclusives, but everything has its gains and losses.

Then again PC is still better than consoles.

Xbox one, They are pretty much the same with some hardware differences but nothing major. I'll most likely buy both probably around 6 months apart but I'm only getting xbox first because most of my friends play xbox, and I'd rather pay for the more expensive one first and out of the way then but the ps4 then worry about getting more money. But that's just me. I know the ps4 may perform better a little better but I will still like both.

Ps4 for sure, it has really impressed me where as the xbox one hasn't, i was always a fan of both but when they go and ruin the xbox it was really a turn off.. sorry Microsoft but you need help, take a lesson from the pro's at Sony!

I'm a SquareEnix fan so PS4 is a given. I probably wouldn't get either if it wasn't for the fact that the two non-handhelds I own are the GC and the PS2. I skipped 7th gen. Also, I'd have to buy a real router instead of the crappy comcast one to run the XBOX and used games are the only games for me.

I can't believe people actually voted for the XBOX. It shocks me like the number of Mac fanboys shocks me.

Although, what Macs and XBOXs have in common for me is that I've never owned either of them. I've never wanted to own either of them. XBOX games have never tempted me and I'm the daughter of a software engineer.

PC isn't console gaming though and quite frankly a lot of games that come out for the console are better than they are on PC. PC has more variety and much longer life span and better hardware than a console as it can be upgraded continually but some people prefer console gaming to PC gaming.

Well it depends what type of games you play. I mean if I was into FPS or Action games then the Wii would seem like a weaker choice simply because Wii is party game console. It does better with multiple people rather than individual playing.

that is true with FPS but I believe wii owned both ps3 and 360 when it came to platformers and party games,As well as action. Most of the Multi-platform games I tended to like the wii version a lot more. Example would be Star wars the force unleashed. Didn't like the 360 or ps3 versions But the wii version to me Was a masterpiece.
don't forget RPG's...........well that genre could go to 360.
It really does depend on the genre.

The 360 and the PS3 are the same in terms of RPG, it's just usually depending on the game and company Xbox can get some content earlier and therefore a patch update earlier.

Some games like Star Wars are good with the Wii for obvious reasons but other action games such as Tomb Raider Underworld etc...were much better on console than the Wii.

The wii does definitely owns party games though.

I already own one, will be my online gaming machine because I'm to cheap to pay for online. I hope it ends up like the Gamecube personally the best console I have ever owned and one of the most underrated.

I'm going to get a PS4 cheaper, most of friends will be getting one eventually, cheaper online and mainly because I will never forgive microsoft for suggesting such ant-consumerial ideas.
