So I'm kinda aware that threads like these are always created, I just haven't seen any I could add to, but anyways....
Do guys wear cologne anymore, or is that kinda a lost art? Reason why I'm asking is that the thought came to my mind while I was working on my Christmas list (yeah, I'm starting it early). I'm interested in it because, well, the Old Spice spray is overused and the smell wears off too quickly and plus I don't like not smelling 'nice' :P
Is it worth it to invest in cologne anymore? If so, what should I try out?
I'm not a 'connoisseur', but I assume there's many different scents out there.. Uh, I suppose I like anything outdoorsy, like say forests and trees or the ocean for sure. I'm definitely not interested in anything that smells like smoke. Wood? Maybe, I suppose. Lastly, I'm not focused on 'picking up the ladies', just more of making myself happy, but hey, if it gets me a compliment or two every now and again, that would be cool :)
Thanks in advance to those who reply :D

I wear it once in a while for special events and stuff, where i need to smell good unlike smelling like axe or old spice.

Well, i don't believe it is a dying art. More like people don't know how to use it. I use cologne for special events just.

I wear it if I remember most school days and I try not to put on too much. I can't stand smelling bad or forgetting deodorant. I think it's worth a try and it last a will depend what you get and how much. I wear black by kenneth cole and it's lasted about a year and that with some friend overusing it after gym sometimes. Price varies though the one i got was around $30-$40 dollars. Try looking up some brands and reviews.

I actually don't leave my house/dorm in the morning without wearing any. I have tons of it, usually a certain kind for every occasion. Fierce by Abercrombie & Fitch is my go to for casual, it's moderately expensive, I think my bottle was $70, but it lasts a LONG time. Then I have some Hollister ones that are ok, not my favorites. I mostly just wear the Abercrombie one for normal everyday. If it's a special occasion I have Lacoste or Burberry, those are way too formal smelling, but they're still awesome on certain days, they're way too expensive to wear normally, they were each like $80 for a pretty small bottle, paying for the brand right? I love them though. Anyways, cologne is definitely a good investment!!! Go to a TJ Maxx, they'll have tons for a decent price, I've got some Calvin Klein ones there or an Armani bottle, they aren't that expensive either.
P.S. If you're looking for a very cheap way to smell great, get the standard Adidas colgone, they have it at TJ Maxx, Marshalls or a Dicks if you have one, it's not expensive and it's a HUGE bottle that'll last forever..

I think its cool if a guy cares about how he smells and looks...just dont go crazy over it. There are a couple guys who almost make my eyes water when they pass by!!

I always wear cologne , its something I don't leave the house without. I have Polo, Prada Luna Rossa, Givenchy por Homme, A&F Fierce, & Bleu de Chanel. I really want Terre D' Hermés though. Its going to be my next. One thing, don't cheap out and get an imitation. Ross, Tj , or Marshalls all sell legit so if you're short on cash, go there.

Due to the fact that people use deodorants as body sprays too I guess it has replaced cologne, even though it never will. I use it sometimes, but deodorant in my armpits (and a little in my body) is my top priority though.

I usually put a little on each day.
If you have the chance, I'd say to go a department store where they sell cologne and tell the person at the counter exactly what you wrote here and they'll help you pick out something you like.

I have a really expensive bottle for the really important occasions, a cheaper bottle for less important but still pretty important occasions and lastly nice smelling deodorant for everyday use.

I love cologne. I use Playboy and Curve and Tommy Bahama cologne.
The Playboy bottle is worth around $45, the Curve cologne is worth about $65, and the Tommy Bahama cologne is worth roughly $100.

I use it for special occasions, but that's about it. I've been using the same bottle of cologne for 4 years and it's still over half-full.
