How do I get a girl to like me?

Hi, I've been hunting around on this forum for a while and I've only just registered, I'm not sure where to put this post so here goes...
I have a friend/acquaintance at my school, she's really sweet and we share the same interests, I want to tell her I like her, I'm a little socially awkward so I can be a bit shy sometimes when talking to girls on subjects like this. (I've never had a girlfriend before so I'm looking for advice.)

Try talking to her first and getting to know her a bit. Then try asking her out.

Make her know that you are trustworhty, and always available in case she needs anything. Spend some time with her, and then date her. If she's really interested in you, then everything will be just fine.

My advice is the same as the others :). Get to know her a little more and show her that you're nice and can be trusted. Help her out with simple things too; hold the door open, walk her to class, pull out her chair for her, ect. Girls love it when guys do that (or at least I do). Once you feel like you too now each other a bit more, you can make your feelings clear to her. Hopefully, she'll like you too!
