I agree with both of you! Arcade Fire is phenomenal! My older brother got their first album (the one with the 'Neighborhood' songs) & we both thought that is was the most creative music we had heard. The will play every instrument, bang on anything (remember the motorcycle helmets with drum sticks?) and somehow end up with lyrics that are so emotional. They rock in a totally unique way!

I have to admit, most of my friends like more mainstream pop, metal, punk, or rap, but I like the Indies!

Jasper, I have heard Relflektor. Like every album they make (Neon Bible) they are so different- I have to listen to them several times to understand what they are trying to say. Reflektor is growing on me. They are always stretching their creative muscles with something that sounds like nobody else! (My 30 year old brother said they make him think that The Talking Heads & Neil Young had children, & they became Arcade Fire.

I've never been a gaint fan - I'm very familiar with them though. I actually saw them in concert a couple years back.
