Hymenotomy

So five days ago I had a Hymenotomy for those who dont know what that is, it is a surgical procedure where a gynecologist has to surgically open an unusually thick hymen. The surgery went great and the doctor gave me pain medicine for my discomfort but I have to do these weird sitz baths so i dont get an infection and he told me to use regular dial soap but when i do the sitz bath it makes it much more difficult to pee for the next couple days cause it burns and hurts so badly when i pee. I just want it to stop. I hope it heals soon. Has anybody else had a Hymenotomy? If so please tell me about your experience!:mad::(

I haven't had one, but one of my friends says her older sister did because she was having such a bad time trying to have sex...but i dont know anything else about it. But she did say it took some weeks for her to heal up completely

Oh wow! I haven't had one, but I wish you the best of luck with healing :) I read about them but I've never met anyone who had to have a hymenotomy.

good luck on your recovery, hopefully its not causing too much pain but since it seems like you got it a few days ago the swelling or whatever happens is probably calming down by now so thats good

I don't know how old you are but why would you want one. are you having sex and unable to get a penis or a tampon in?
