View Full Version : Wondering how accurate this is.

I saw this popular method of how to determine penis length while searching online, and I'm wondering how accurate it is for us pubescent boys. Measure your index finger and then your ring finger and find the ratio between them.(divide them by each other) It says that the smaller the ratio the more endowed the man is.

Index: 3.25"
Ring: 3.75"
Ratio: 0.867
Penis size: 8"

Not too sure if it applies to me very well. :P

All of these little "methods" for determining how big your penis will be are complete lies in my opinion. "Measure this, measure that, divide it by the size of the nearest banana.....blah blah" it is all crap.
Just measure your penis and be happy with what you have.

Well it WAS a cite for women... :P
I just found it interesting is all. I do recommend looking it up if you want to.

Exactly this! None of these methods work and to be honest even when people just use a ruler they tend to measure it wrong.

The methods shown in this post are correct in my opinion (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showpost.php?p=250727&postcount=1).

This method does actually have some plausibility. The index finger to ring finger ratio is a very good predictor of prenatal testosterone levels. Furthermore, digit ratio is correlated with certain traits and diseases.

The reason I say this is plausible is that digit ratio is correlated with sperm count. Men with a lower digit ratio tend to have a higher sperm count. No studies have looked specifically at penis size, but it isn't impossible that there would be a correlation.

That being said, digit ratio is not an accurate predictor of anything. Something as complex as penis size would be affected by many other factors as well. You could probably make a better estimate by looking at other males in your family.

In short, there may be a correlation, but it would likely be small and not a good predictor.

Yeah, that's how 13 year olds end up with 8-inch penises. Lol

None of these techniques work. The only way to measure penis size is to measure the penis itself. My ring and index finger are the same length, to look at anyway, there may a millimetre or two in it, but still.

i hate math. i dont believe this. i do a lot of reading and i say when ur dick and balls grow u will stay the same size. u might get thicker but that is all. im 6 inches and i hope i grow 2 more but i just hope.

Are you implying something?

I'm implying that most 13 year olds that claim to have ridiculously large penises are either lying out of their ass or measuring their penis wrong like Derri said.

Yeah I don't think there's anything in it but it's a fun theory anyway!

Index: 7cm
Ring: 7.5cm
Ratio: 0.93333333333333333333333etc
Penis: 15cm

I have tiny fingers xD

I've heard about that method before. My penis is 8 inches big and my fingers are as long as yours. We are the same. So maybe it is true.

Perhaps for us, but not for everyone.

I wouldn't be so critical now! It did earn its spot on an NBC morning news segment so it has its truth to it.

No, they just spoke about the study and how the ratio actually correlates with penis length. They even got a chance to show some of the staffs fingers on camera. XD
