I've been dating a girl for like 2.5 years now, but she's kinda conservative. We've done some stuff (nothing below the belt), but not too much and I kinda want to know if she masturbates, so what's the best way to bring up the subject.

well i guese you could try telling her that you masturbate and maybe expand on that. that may make it easier for her to open up if she does at all. however, i would imagine that some girls maybe turned off by hearing this so you should consider this carefully first. masturbating can be a sensitive subject, so i would consider carefully as to whether you need to bring it up with her at all. why is it important that you find out that she masturbates anyways?

well i suppose if you are both very comfortable with eachother then that might work. i still think it could be awkward, but i don't know your gf and i don't know how comfortable you are with eachother, so maybe it wouldn't be awkward.

Well, when my boyfriend brought the topic up with me, he kinda waited until we were both in sort of a horny mood so it didn't sound so weird. When your mind's already in the gutter, you're not so embarrassed talking about things like that. xP

Yeah I agree with Jessi. There's a time and place for everything. You can't just ask her in the same manner as if you were asking how was her day. Usually what make akward questions easier to ask is if you ask in a joking or humorous way.

Like for example, you're at her house and she decides to take a shower. When she comes out you can say something like "Jeez you were in there for a long time; what were you doing in there?" in a joking way.

Just a way to break the ice.

Of course, the real question is why you want to know.

I think just about everyone masturbates, so if I were you I'd assume she does. People are biologically sexual, so the desire for sexual satisfaction is there, most especially during puberty.

Girls really aren't THAT much different than us in that regard.

I don't know - she's kinda conservative and semi-sheltered. I really didn't even know if she know what it was until we were watching Transformers and the mom asks "Were you masturbating" and she laughed, so I'm assuming she knows what it is.
